I would like to officially welcome all by new students and
give a quick review of all that we have done to date.

August 26, 2013 – Online activity- You do not have to show
up to class! Create a twitter account and a linkedin account then comment on
the experience on http://mscooperscorner.pbworks.com/w/page/68486740/Week%202
You will be able to
set up these accounts on your own. Setup is similar to setting up your email or
facebook account.

Comment: Explore both sites and comment in
relation to use and practicality of both sites in the Belizean environment.
August 26, 2013 – Complete Chapter 1 slides (class
discussion) and engrade.com account setup
August 28 online Quiz on chapter 1 due by midnight
Please note that we will not be having classes at school
today August 26th 2013 but you are responsible to complete the
assignment by midnight tonight August 26, 2013 .

I thought that with sites were easy to create an account for. The twitter account was slightly easier and it allowed you with immediate access to follow or be apart of stuff that interest you such as music, etc. In the linkedin account, it allowed you to import your contacts from yahoo messenger which was very helpful. I think that in Belizean environment these sites can be very helpful as both of them allow you to communicate information between parties or people whether it may be a group of one to one. It also allows those who are shy to speak their opinions or beliefs to have a medium to express those beliefs. Also, it serves a means to discover relatives or make new friend, provides access to job opportunities, etc. Conclusively, creating the blogs was a good experience as it shows that there are many more social media sites than just Facebook.
